Listen in bed on your side — with nothing in your ears
★★★★★4.9/5· 2.902 reviews
A coin-thin Bluetooth speaker that hides under your pillow and sends sound through it. No earbuds to press, no wires, and sleep-volume audio that stays mostly at your pillow.
✓ Up to 20 hr battery✓ Bluetooth 5.4✓ 30/60/90 min timer
Your favorite sound. Your pillow. Nothing pressing on your ear.
If you sleep on your side, earbuds get squeezed between your ear and the pillow. A speaker on the nightstand plays to the whole room. Sleepwisp lies flat under your pillow instead, so you get your podcast, audiobook or brown noise without a single thing in your ear.

Ear pain
“If you’re a side sleeper, earbuds can press into your ear overnight and cause pain and irritation.” Cleveland Clinic’s advice: “Using an external speaker would be best.”

The Pillow Path
Sound takes a third route: through the pillow itself
Sound normally reaches you two ways: into your ear canal (earbuds) or through the air (speakers). Earbuds hurt when you lie on them, and air carries sound to your partner too.
Sleepwisp vibrates the pillow’s filling. Your head is already resting on it, so the vibration travels to the bone beside your ear — bone conduction — and stays mostly at your pillow at sleep volume.

Good to know
Sleepwisp is made for sleep-level volume. It’s private, not soundproof, and it’s tuned for voices and ambient sound rather than hi-fi music. Very dense memory-foam pillows can soften the sound — place the disc closer to your ear.
I cannot stress enough how much earbuds have failed me over the years. I sleep on my side exclusively and within 20 minutes they're either digging into my ear canal or falling out onto the pillow. I've tried literally every sleep headband you can find on Amazon. They all either shift around or make my head sweat. Sleepwisp is just flat under my pillow. I don't feel it. My ear doesn't hurt. I wake up and it's still there exactly where I put it. It's such a simple solution I'm annoyed it took me this long to find it.

My husband is one of those people who's asleep before his head fully hits the pillow. I need at least 40 minutes of a podcast to wind down and I've felt terrible about it for years. I've tried earbuds (painful), headbands (hot and uncomfortable), and just playing my phone quietly (he still heard it). Found Sleepwisp on an ad and figured why not. First night I used it he slept straight through without stirring once. I could hear my podcast perfectly clearly. I actually cried a little. Sounds dramatic but three years of feeling guilty every single night takes a toll. This thing is a genuine relationship saver.

Bought three. One for me, one for my sister, one for my mum. We all have the same problem. Husbands who sleep like logs while we need audio to wind down. Bought one for myself first and ordered two more the next morning. All three of us use it every single night now. Cannot recommend it enough.

My roommate snores loudly. I was getting maybe five hours a night and failing my morning lectures. Brown noise through Sleepwisp under my pillow masks it enough that I can actually sleep through. My roommate has no idea I am running audio all night. Grades are up and I am not a zombie anymore. Worth every penny of my student budget haha

My girlfriend and I had been having actual arguments about this. She needs complete silence and I need music to fall asleep. It has been that way my whole life. We even tried sleeping in separate rooms for a week which was awful for both of us. A friend mentioned Sleepwisp and I was skeptical but desperate enough to try. It has been two months and we have not had a single argument about it since. She genuinely cannot hear it even when she has actively tried to. I can hear it fine at low volume. Problem completely solved and I tell everyone I know who has a similar issue.

Simple review. I use the Calm app every night for sleep meditations. Earbuds were always uncomfortable by the time I fell asleep. Sleepwisp is not. It works perfectly with Calm, the sound is warm and clear, and I have not woken my partner once in six weeks of using it. Exactly what I needed and nothing more complicated than that.

I have spent more money than I care to admit on sleep gadgets. Smart pillows, white noise machines, sleep trackers, all of it. Sleepwisp is the only one still in use six months later. Everything else is in a drawer. Buy this one and skip everything else.

Exactly what it says it does. I put it under my pillow, connect to Spotify, and listen to whatever I want while my husband sleeps next to me completely unbothered. Sound quality is clear enough for spoken word which was my main concern before buying. Five stars no question.

Bought one for my dad after he kept stealing mine. He has tinnitus and tried mine once when he was visiting. Would not give it back. Ordered him his own the same week. He says it is the best thing I have ever bought him and he means it.

I have arthritis in my ears from wearing hearing aids for years and anything that goes in or around my ears is very uncomfortable. My granddaughter found this for me and she set it up in about two minutes. I have used it every single night since. I play nature sounds through it and I sleep better than I have in years. It is so simple to use. You just turn it on and press one button. Wonderful product and I am so glad this kind of technology exists.

My audiologist recommended a pillow speaker for my tinnitus months ago and I finally got around to trying Sleepwisp. I use it with a binaural beats sleep track and it works beautifully. The sound is clear, I can adjust it to exactly the right level, and my wife sleeps undisturbed right next to me. Highly recommended for anyone managing tinnitus at night.

I have pretty bad generalized anxiety and my brain refuses to slow down at bedtime without something to focus on. Sleep stories and guided meditation are the only things that help but I kept destroying my earbuds by rolling onto them in the night. Sleepwisp changed everything. I put on a sleep story, close my eyes, and I am asleep within about 15 minutes. That is not something I have been able to say for a very long time. Nothing touching my ears makes such a difference too because I do not wake up in discomfort anymore.

I have had tinnitus for years. I connect Sleepwisp to a white noise app and it is an absolute lifesaver. My wife would never be able to sleep if she had to listen to the sounds I need at night. Before I found this, she did. We are still together and happy. That really does say everything.

I travel for work about three weeks a month. Hotel sleep has always been a nightmare due to hallway noise, AC units and thin walls. I started using Sleepwisp with a brown noise app and it has completely transformed my trips. It fits in my toiletry bag, the battery lasts the whole trip on one charge, and I have been waking up actually rested for the first time in years. My colleagues have noticed I am sharper in morning meetings. Not exaggerating even slightly. Highly recommend for anyone who needs something like this!!!!

FINALLY can sleep with anyone who snores! My partner snores and I have been dealing with it for three years. White noise through Sleepwisp under my pillow masks it completely. I did not hear them once last night unless I lifted my head right off the pillow. If I had not experienced it myself I would think I was exaggerating. This is the greatest thing I have bought this year by a distance.

My brain has a lot to process every day and at night it really struggles to slow down. I have tried meditation apps, breathing exercises, everything. Sleepwisp with a sleep story playing quietly through the pillow is genuinely the only thing that helps my mind calm itself before sleep. I fall asleep so much faster now and I wake up actually feeling rested. Cannot recommend this enough to anyone with a busy or anxious mind.

I've had moderate tinnitus for about six years. The nighttime is the worst part, the bedroom goes quiet and the ringing just takes over. I've been running a white noise machine loud enough to wake the dead, which unsurprisingly does not thrill my wife. My audiologist actually mentioned pillow speakers as an option months ago and I finally got around to trying this one. I run white noise through it at whatever volume actually masks my tinnitus and my wife sleeps through the whole thing completely undisturbed. I don't know why I waited so long. This has genuinely improved my quality of life.

I have only had this one night and already I can tell this is going to be a permanent part of my sleep routine. The 20 hour battery is what originally sold me on it and first night confirmed it is as good as advertised. Brilliant product.

If you are on the fence, get off it. I wasted two weeks thinking about this purchase and I should have bought it the second I saw it. It does exactly what it says and then some. Genuinely love this product.

Seriously cannot feel it under my pillow. Pairs instantly every night. Sound is clear. Partner hears nothing. Five stars and I will be buying a second one to keep at my parents place for when I visit.

Questions people ask first
Will my partner hear it?
At normal sleep volume the sound stays mostly at your pillow, because it travels through the pillow to you rather than through the room. It isn’t soundproof, so at high volume in a very quiet room someone right next to your pillow could notice a faint trace.
Will it sound muffled under my pillow?
Softer pillows (down, fiber, cotton) transmit best. Very dense memory foam can dampen the sound, so place the disc close to your ear and adjust the volume slightly. Spoken word and ambient sound come through the clearest.
Do I need an app?
No. It pairs over Bluetooth like a normal speaker and plays whatever you already use: podcasts, audiobooks, Spotify, white or brown noise.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 20 hours per charge, and it recharges over USB-C. The 30/60/90-minute timer stops playback automatically.
Can I feel it under my head?
It’s only 0.43 in (11 mm) thin, so most people don’t notice it under a regular pillow. If you prefer, slide it toward the edge of the pillow.
Is it a medical device?
No. Sleepwisp is a consumer audio accessory. It isn’t intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
